A dual-band MIMO antenna was designed for WLAN.The front of the antenna was an L-shaped monopole, and the back was a metal ground plate. The coupling stub was loaded on the ground plate to achieve dual-frequency characteristics.Meanwhile, the coupling stub was bent to miniaturize the antenna.A parasitic T-branch was loaded between two antenna elements, and a rectangular slit was etched to improve the isolation of the antenna.Electromagnetic simulation software and vector network analyzer were used to simulate and measure the antenna respectively. The results show that the working band of the antenna is 2.4-2.55 GHz and 5.1-6.3 GHz,which covers the band of WLAN.The isolation in the lower frequency band is greater than 19 dB,and it is better than 25 dB in the higher frequency band.In addition, the envelope correlation coefficient of the antenna is less than 0.01,and it has omnidirectional radiation characteristics. The overall performance of the antenna can well meet the requirements of WLAN.
