针对目前对极化转换器高性能的需求,提出了一种新型的反射型交叉极化转换器.基于超表面结构,极化转换器由顶层周期排列的金属图案、中间介质板和金属底板三部分组成.研究表明,在9.38~23.78 GHz频率范围内,该结构可实现极化转换率(Polarization Conversion Ratio,PCR)高于95%的交叉极化转换,其中四个谐振峰处极化转换率接近100%.此外,转换带宽为14.4 GHz,相对带宽为86.9%.该结构简单、损耗小、成本低、易于加工与集成,在微波通信、测量和成像等领域有广泛的应用前景.
Design of cross polarization converter based on metasurface
In order to meet the demand for high performance of the polarization converter,a novel reflective cross polarization converter was proposed.The polarization converter based on metasurface structure consists of three parts:the metallic periodic pattern on the top layer,the dielectric substrate on the intermediate layer and the metallic plate ground.The results show that this structure can achieve cross-polarization conversion in the frequency range of 9.38-23.78 GHz with a polarization conversion ratio(PCR)of over 95%,of which PCRs are close to 100%at four resonance peaks.In addition,the conversion bandwidth is 14.4 GHz and the relative bandwidth is 86.9%.The proposed structure has the advantages of simple structure,low loss,low cost,easy processing and integration.It has broad application prospects in the fields of microwave communication,measurement,imaging and so on.
