Double hydroxide modified nickel metal mesh with enhanced electromagnetic shielding performance
To address low absorption(SEA)and high reflection(SER)issues in the nickel metal meshes for electromagnetic shielding, the electro-deposition was used to load nickel iron hydroxide(NiFe LDH)nanosheets onto the nickel mesh in order to enhance the absorption-dominant shielding performance of the material. The microstructure and electromagnetic properties of the material were notably enhanced, especially achieving a SEA of 56 dB and SER of 2 dB in the X-band.Furthermore,the dielectric constant, magnetic permeability, attenuation constant, and impedance matching were improved with the NiFe LDH nanosheets. This demonstrates their wide application potential in electromagnetic shielding with simplicity in synthesis and cost-effectiveness.
