This paper is based on field geological survey,Lab tests,geological structure,petrology and mineralogy to deepen study on geological characteristics,genesis and prospecting marks of Changshanzi hematite deposit.The deposit occurs in the first member of Middle Proterozoic Yushulazi formation.From bottom to top there are two mineralization zones and ore bodies occur in five levels.The metamor-phosed hematite conglomerite ore,metamorphosed hematite-quartz sandy conglomerite and metamor-phosed hematite-quartz sandstone are the three natural iron ore types.The iron ore is of blastopsephitic,sandy psephitic,sandy blast texture and massive structure.The deposit is a metamorphosed near shore Delta turbid sedimentary coarse classic rock type poor hematite deposit.The First member of Yushulazi formation is key prospecting mark.
