The application of risk-based testing in engineering practice is studied, which includes four main activi-ties,namely risk identification, risk assessment, risk mitigation and risk management. The test team selects test con-ditions,test techniques, assigns test work, and sets test priorities according to product quality risks.Risk-based testing guides testing activities by assessing and managing risks and it can always focus testing resources on the parts that may have higher risks in the whole software life cycle,so as to find and solve potential problems better and faster, provide support for project stakeholders and management layer to make decisions, and control system quality risks effectively.
