Comparison of Direct Load Method and Overlapping Frequency Method for Thermal Testing of Three Phase Asynchronous Motors
When the current passes through the stator winding of the three-phase asynchronous motor,it will not only produce a rotating magnetic field to drive the rotor to rotate, but also generate heat to make the stator winding heat. When the motor operation is stable, the difference between the heat and the ambient temperature is the temperature rise of the motor.Temperature rise is an important indicator in motor performance assessment.According to the nation-al standard GB/T 1032-2012"Test procedurs for three-phase induction motors",the temperature rise can be mea-sured using the thermal test method. The methods of thermal testing are divided into direct load method and indirect method. The phenomena in the stator overlap frequency method in indirect method is compared between the direct load method through experiments, the experimental data is recorded, and the differences are analyzed.
