On April 18,2023,the European Commission officially issued a new regulation of(EU)2023/826 based on ecological design requirements in shutdown,standby,and other modes of electrical products based on the framework of the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC.This regulation takes effect on May 9,2023,and its mandatory implementation date is May 9,2025.At the same time,the eco-design regulation of(EU)1275/2008 for the original standby and off mode and network standby mode of home and office electrical and electronic equipment and eco-de-sign regulations of(EU)107/2009 for simple set-top box are abolished.The main change points are the removal of the exemption for low-voltage external power supply products and the power consumption change of information tech-nology equipment in the off and standby status.The differences of regulations in accordance with the requirements of 1275/2008 and(EU)2023/826 are analyzed,and reference for the power consumption design of information technol-ogy equipment is provided.
