Lawn mowing is an important horticultural work.Traditional lawn mowing methods require manual pushing or carrying pruning tools,which is very labor-intensive for large lawns.Therefore,an intelligent mower based on the robot operating system(ROS)is designed.The design principle,technical realization,performance evaluation of intelligent mower and its potential application in the field of lawn maintenance is studied.The intelligent mower inte-grates modern robot technology,and its technical realization and innovation in the key functions of lawn recognition,path planning,autonomous navigation,precise pruning are expounded.The implementation of these functions mainly relies on advanced robot control algorithms and machine learning models.The former can be used to identify lawn boundaries and obstacles,while the latter can be used to optimize pruning strategies and path planning.Subsequent-ly,the performance of the ROS-based intelligent mower is verified through a series of experiments.It can not only im-prove the efficiency of lawn maintenance,but also reduce the pollution to the environment,and has a certain practical value.
