France-Mongolia relations have experienced a twenty-five-year dormant period during the Cold War and a recovery-to-warming period of over thirty years since the end of the Cold War.The French president Macron set a target of establishing France-Mongolia strategic partnership during his visit to Mongolia in 2023 while Mongolia perceives France as a strategic partner and the third neighboring country.Their strategic partnership is demonstrated by the French involvement in Mongolia's uranium industry and pilot production was initiatded in 2022.France is the ninth country regarding the origin of investment and the second largest country in European,after Germany,as the origin of tourists.The uranium projects operated by French entities have effectively consolidated bilateral relations.
