Boosting green economy for social and economic sustainable development has become the consensus of the contemporary world.An essential means and basis for the transition to green economy,green finance can provide financial support for the alleviation of the negative impact from climate change.The development of green economy in Russia is still in its preliminary stage characterized by an imperfect system of institution.Its special feature has been formed conforming to its specific condition by drawing on international experience.Generalizing the features and existing problems through a comprehensive investigation of the development of green finance in Russia is conducive to the exploration of a new orientation for China-Russia cooperation in green finance.
