Sustainable development is playing a leading role in domestic and foreign policy making in the Republic of Belarus.Since its participation in the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030 of the UN,Belarus has taken an active part in unlocking familial and individual potentials,promoting employment for decent incomes,boosting digital transition,creating developed business climate and sustainable infrastructure,ensuring environmental protection,developing a circular economy by positively fulfilling international commitments,stipulating sustainable national development strategies,setting management frameworks,and executing mechanisms and supervision systems.Belarus is facing diverse challenges in political stability,national defense,and sustainable development in the economy,society,and environment as a result of both enhanced and prolonged western sanctions,western interference in Belarus'domestic affairs,intensified global geopolitical confrontations,and the escalation of the Ukraine crisis,etc.In response to the challenges,Belarus is dedicated to adjusting its national sustainable development strategies,deepening political reforms,strengthening the ability of national defense construction,supporting economic development and international cooperation,and securing the implementation of the Agenda of Sustainable Development.
