The fragility and urgency of Central Asian countries to respond to climate change,especially Kyrgyzstan,has become a pressing issue as global warming keeps accelerating.Climate change not only exerts negative impacts on ecological environment,biodiversity,the security of food and energy,but also serves as a driving factor behind the intensification of domestic social conflict and regional tensions.In response,Kyrgyzstan has developed and implemented its national strategy and taken actions to facilitate the process of regional and international cooperation.However,the country s climate governance is facing a series of challenges represented by problems with its system of climate governance and the ability to tackle it,an apparent lack of multilateral mechanisms for their cooperation,negative impacts from the unfairness in global climate governance and from the competition of major powers.An in-depth study of the paths and dilemmas of Kyrgyzstan's climate governance may provide useful ideas for China and Kyrgyzstan's cooperation along with their joint construction of a green Silk Road.
