This article evaluates the basic situation of Chinese criminology research from the international perspective in 2022,based on sample data formed by searching,counting and organizing the content of the research articles on Chinese criminology issues published in English criminology and penology journals in 2022.The internationalization status of Chinese criminology research is mainly analyzed in terms of the publication journals,authorship,author institutions,collaboration,research methods,and research topics.The results found that a small number of scholars have higher output.Most research is mainly based on cooperation and relevant scholars have formed relatively stable cooperative relationships.The mainland Chinese academic institutions and scholars are the main contributors to criminology research.Research conducted using quantitative methods accounts for the absolute majority.In addition,the most popular research topics in the field in 2022 included bullying and abuse,types of victimization,police studies,and domestic and intimate partner violence.
