Adhering to the people-centered approach is the highest principle of our party's governance.It is a manifestation of the purpose of serving people wholeheartedly and a reflection of the party spirit and people's character of the ruling party.It not only has a rich theoretical basis,but also has a deep cultural origin.The embodiment of adhering to the people-centered principle in the field of the rule of law is to strengthen the legal protection of rights,and the embodiment in the judicial field is to strengthen the judicial protection of rights.Strengthening the protection of rights must be"practical",because it is not a"political show",but a real action.To strengthen the judicial protection of rights,we need to pay attention to the following points:First,judicial personnel must adhere to the people-centered principle and must establish the awareness of"judiciary for the people".Only by effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights of the parties can the purpose of serving the people be truly implemented;Second,it requires judicial personnel to adhere to the principles of legality,presumption of innocence and exclusion of illegal evidence,resolutely put an end to extorting confessions by torture and illegal evidence collection,uphold the bottom line of the law,and respect the legitimate rights of criminal suspects and defendants;Third,supervision and restrictions must be strengthened to strictly prevent illegal infringement of citizens'rights by procuratorial power,public security investigation power,supervisory committee investigation power,and trial power;Fourth,since the political experience in China and abroad has repeatedly shown that the biggest infringement on citizens'rights comes from the administrative power,it is necessary to strengthen the supervision and restriction of the judicial power on the executive power,and to construct such a mechanism to prevent the executive power from wantonly trampling on citizens'rights;Fifth,innovate the operation mechanism of judicial power and trial methods,and build a litigation service system that is convenient for the people.In short,only by earnestly fulfilling the above five points can judicial credibility be comprehensively improved,and China's judicial civilization is expected to make comprehensive progress.The overall goal of judicial reform is to improve judicial credibility and build a judicial system with broad credibility in society,which is the only way to promote the modernization of Chinese-style rule of law.
