This year marks the 70th anniversary of the First Session of the National People's Congress and the establishment of the system of people's congresses.Practice has proven that the people's congress system is a great creation in the history of human political systems led by the Party and the major institutional achievement of adhering to the'Two Combinations'.It is the fundamental political system that effectively guarantees and realizes the people's mastery of the country.Standing at the historical juncture,we must,in accordance with the new requirements for developing socialist democratic politics in the new era,advance the development of the people's congress system in a timely manner through measures such as strengthening political attributes,optimizing institutional attributes,enhancing theoretical levels,improving democratic attributes,and reinforcing people's attributes.This will provide a more comprehensive,sufficient,and powerful fundamental political system guarantee for building a socialist modernized country in an all-round way and achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
