Objective To explore the clinical value of mifepristone combined with vitamin D in the treatment of uterine fibroids. Methods patients with uterine fibroids requiring conservative treatment from January 2020 to December 2021 in the Affiliated Hospital of Chuanbei Medical College were collected and their serum vitamin D was detected.120 patients with uterine fibroids whose serum vitamin D<20 nmol/L were studied. They were divided into experimental group and control group according to random number table method,60 cases each. The control group received mifepristone and the experimental group received mifepristone combined with vitamin D.The clinical effects as well as changes of uterine fibroids after treatment in both groupswere analyzed statistically. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the size of uterine fibroids between experimental group and control group(P>0.05).After treatment, the size of uterine fibroids in both groups were smaller than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.001,P=0.001).The size of uterine fibroids in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.0010),and the total effective rate in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.011).Conclusions Mifepristone reduces fibroid size and inhibits fibroid growth.Vitamin D may enhance the fibroid growth inhibitory effect of mifepristone.Vitamin D combined with mifepristone serve as a potential treatment for inhibiting the growth of uterine fibroids.
