The Processing Technology Standardization Research on Paper Historical Relics Cleaning Based on Gellan Gel
Gellan gel has a good cleaning effect on paper cultural relics, and has been widely recognized by the industry. However,in the preparation of Gellan gel and cleaning of paper cultural relics of different materials,is still based on experience. The degree of technology standardization is low, which will hinder its further promotion and use.The research on the molding of gelatin under different parameters and the exchange process of water when cleaning different types of paper attempts to establish the quantitative working standard of gelatin preparation and cleaning of paper artifacts, and the results can be seen:① Gellan gel thickness and cooling time is positively correlated, but the colloidal strength shows a tendency to increase and then decrease,to the bottom diameter of 9.5 cm cold glue, select the most appropriate thickness of 1.0 cm;② the unglued handmade paper, conventional grammage, with a certain degree of water resistance and ink absorption of offset paper, can be set to 1.0 kg applied weight,30 min cleaning time;water resistance is weak, poor mechanical properties, small grammage newsprint, applied weight 0.6 kg can be;for kraft paper with strong water resistance and large grammage,it needs 1.0 kg applied weight and the cleaning time is extended to 120 min. Therefore, when cleaning paper cultural relics with different textures,it is necessary to comprehensively consider the water resistance, ink absorption, weight and mechanical properties of the paper.
