Tensile test study on steel fiber reinforced geopolymer concrete
With the tensile strength of geopolymer concrete(GPC)and steel fiber reinforced geopolymer concrete(SFRGPC)as the research objective, static and dynamic tensile tests were conducted with a strain rate range of 5×10-5 to 17 s-1.The splitting tensile strength of SFRGPC is approximately 1.6 to 2.8 times that of GPC.The tensile failure of GPC exhibits brittle characteristics. After the addition of steel fibers, the failure mode of SFRGPC shows obvious ductility, and can still provide residual stress after reaching the peak stress. Both GPC and SFRGPC show strain rate effects in tensile strength, and a DIF calculation model suitable for both materials is provided.
