Design and preparation of an ultra-wide-band resistive wave-absorbing metamaterial
In order to improve the combat effectiveness of camouflage protection of ground equipments,a foam sandwich structure ultra-wide-band resistive wave absorbing metamaterial is simulated and designed, which has a total thickness of 21 mm,and the wave absorbing performance of less than-10 dB within the range of 1~40 GHz.Then, corresponding ultra-wide band wave absorbing metamaterial was prepared using screen printing technology and vacuum bag pressing technique, its surface density is only 4 kg/m2.After being applied to the stealth protec-tion of weapons and equipments, the radar cross section(RCS)decreased by 10 dB on average, indicating that the absorbing material has the advantages of small surface density and wide wavelength absorbing band, which is expec-ted to improve the stealth performance of ground equipments.
