Effects of Rainfall Intensity on Soil and Water Losses in Bare Sloping Land
The relationship between rainfall intensity and soil and water losses of bare sloping land in Northern Fujian was investigated by the establishment of runoff equation. The results indicated that the runoff in bare sloping land was not closely related to the rainfall intensity, for example, under the condition of light or moderate rain, the runoff in bare sloping land and different rainfall intensity had a linear correlation, but for heavy rain, the relation could not be explained by functions. The effects of rainfall intensity on soil loss were more significant than on runoff. When the amount of different rainfall was close, the relationship between soil loss and average rainfall intensity was found to be consistent with the linear function. The relationship of different rainfall intensity and soil loss in bare sloping land was in the order of I10 〉 I30 〉I60.
