Decomposition Characteristics and Dynamics of Phosphorus and Potassium of Leaf Litter Mixtures of Both Cunninghamia lanceolata and Phoeba bournei
Decomposition and the dynamics of P and K of single Cunninghamia lanceolata and Phoeba bournei leaf litter and their different mixtures were studied in an orchard. The results showed that the decomposition rates of litter mixtures between Cunninghamia lanceolata and Phoeba bournei were faster than those of single leaf litter.Concentrations of P in single and mixture of leaf litter appeared to increase and concentrations of K appeared to decrease during the decomposition.Percentages of P and K remaining were lower in single Cunninghamia lanceolata needle litter compared to single Phoeba bournei leaf litter.P and K release rates of leaf litter mixtures were faster than those of single Phoeba bournei leaf litter.Release rates of P and K were increased when leaf litter of Cunninghamia lanceolata and Phoeba bournei were mixed together.
