An Analysis on Warm Winter Characteristics in Fujian Province
Using winter ( from December to February ) temperature data during 1971-2013 from 65 meteorological observation stations in Fujian province , the variations of winter temperature are ana-lyzed.Then, according to the Warm Winter Grade national standard , its warm winter characteristics are analyzed , showing that winter temperature in the province is significantly in uptrend , especially the ascents of February temperature and minimum temperature contribute more to winter warming .In-land regions in the province have a higher frequency of warm winter than coastal regions .Warm winter central and southern coastal regions occurs even more frequently .During recent 43 years, 15 warm winter years had occurred , mainly after 2000 .The most extensive and strongest warm winter occurred in 1999.By contrast, the Warm Winter Grade national standard can define warm winter events more reasonably .
