Spatial-temporal Variation Characteristics of ETC Movement Space Based on Information Geography:A Case Study of Taiwan,China
The use of information geography approaches to analyze highway data has emerged as a key area of research in the study of virtual transportation space and information geography. The reason is be-cause the thorough development of the principles of information geography and the widespread adoption of highway electronic toll collection systems. The highway data of Taiwan Island during 2015-2022,has used to reflect the spatial-temporal architecture in the human world by adopting information conversion methods such as time differentiation and spatial auto-correlation for the information expression. The find-ings indicate that,1)from the time perspective, the logistical flow and mobile space of a vehicle have a universal rule and may self-repair in the specific scenario. With a smaller time scale, the more apparent travel law,the traffic flow and logistics travel patterns at various time scales are influenced by different factors in the human and natural worlds.2)From the spatial perspective, logistics and traffic flow create a stable three-gradient circle distribution structure with multiple cores, exhibiting significant spatial posi-tive correlation characteristics. The transportation network has gradually created an association structure with close internal connections and sparse external connections.3)The spatial formation of the transpor-tation system, with New Taipei City,Taoyuan City,Kaohsiung City,Taichung City, and Taipei City ser-ving as the network's core,Changhua County and Tainan City serving as its sub-core,and the connec-tions between other counties and cities serving as the network's connecting skeleton.4)Based on the spatial properties of the vehicular and logistics transportation network, the tandem evolution structure,core-edge evolution structure, and dispersion evolution structure may all be compressed.
