Yexiangyou 711 was a medium-maturing three-line indica hybrid rice developed by Quanzhou Agricultural Science Institute using Ye Xiang A(a three-line male sterile line bred by Guangxi Luhai Seed Industry Co.,LTD)as the female parent and Quanhui 711(a self-breeding restorer line)as the fale.The average yield of Yexiangyou 711 was 8.87 t/hm2 in regional text and 8.38 t/hm2 in large area planting,respectively.Yexiangyou 711 was resistant to rice blast and its grain quality reached the quality standard of second-class high quality edible rice varieties,which was suitable for medium and late rice planting in Fujian Province.The breeding process,and the key points of cultivation and seed production technology were put forwar of Yexiangyou 711 were introduced,which is help to the popularization and application of this variety in production.
