Breeding and Application of a New Combination of High-quality Disease-resistant Hybrid Late Rice Qiyuanyou 528
A new combination of hybrid late rice Qiyuanyou 528 was bred from the cross between the rice blast resistant of three-line sterile line Qiyuan A and the high-quality restorer line Quanhui 528 by Quan-zhou Institute of Agricultural Sciences and the Rice Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.The combination had the characteristics of moderate plant height,excellent rice quality,resistance to rice blast,and strong adaptability.It was approved by the Fujian Provincial Crop Variety Examination and Approval Committee in 2023.The breeding process,variety characteristics,cultivation and seed production techniques of Qiyuanyou 528 were introduced.
