Comparison experiment was conducted using three measures,including foliar spraying of 70％spirosamine and tea cake extract,and rice-duck farm model,to prevent and control Pomacea canaliculata.Results showed that 70％spirosamine and tea cake extract had certain control effect,but was not as long-lasting as that of raising ducks in paddy field.ducks in paddy field not only pecked eggs and snails,but also reduced the occurrence of rice diseases and pests,while bringing more additional economic benefits.Therefore,rice-ducks model in paddy field was the optimal method for long-term control of P.canaliculata.
