Yexiangyou 653 was a new three line hybrid rice variety bred from cross of Yexiang A and Fuhui 653 and developed by Rice Research Institute,Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.It was released by Fujian Provincial Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2024.Pot trial planting in 2019-2020 and demonstra-tion with large area in 2022 in Longshan Town was conducted,Yexiangyou 653 had the characteristics of un-tied population,large panicle and more spikeletes,high seed setting rate,strong resistance to rice blast,fer-tilizer tolerance and anti-lodging,good quality.The agronomic property,yield performance and high-yielding cultivation techniques of late season rice Yexiangyou 653 in Nanjing were summarized.
