Dynamic Analysis and Testing of Centrifugal Turbine Rotors
For a centrifugal turbine expander rotor,MADYN2000 was used for dynamic modeling, and undamped critical speed analysis and critical speed diagram analysis were performed on the high-speed shaft. The bearing stiffness range was selected. After determining the bearing structure, the dynamic characteristics of the bearing were verified. The damping critical speed of the shaft system met the design requirements of API617,and the calculation of unbalanced response provided a basis for the design of blade tip seal clearance.During the unit testing process, passing through lateral critical speed can be observed repeatedly, and the oil film whirl that occurred during the testing period has been analyzed. After reaching the rated speed, the bearing vibration tended to be good, and no signs of wear were found on the blade tip seal after shutdown and disassembly. The experimental results show that the critical speed and bearing temperature calculation of the centrifugal turbine rotor are basically consistent with the experimental results, and the rotor dynamics analysis has good guiding significance in the development process of new turbine.
