The Research Progress of Advanced Composite in External Pipe System of Aircraft Engine
The external pipe system of aircraft engine is a necessary structure to ensure the safe and stable operation of the engine.At the moment,the materials widely used in the external pipe system of large bypass ratio aircraft engine are metal materials,which are mainly stainless steel,nickel base super alloys and titanium alloys.In recent years,the temperature resistance,formability,reliability and other performance of composite material structures have been significantly improved with the development of resin based composite materials.And some of the metal pipes on civil aircraft and engines have been replaced by composite materials,which can greatly meet the needs of pipeline systems in high-performance,lightweight,integrated molding,and other aspects,demonstrating good application prospects.In this paper,the application of resin matrix composites in the external pipe system of aircraft engine will be discussed and prospected from the current development status of pipe system,selection of material and forming process,and verification experiment.
