Design exploration and practice of youth public rental housing under the development plan of Fuzhou metropolitan area
Binhai New Town Rental Housing Project Ⅳ in Changle District is a construction project of public rental housing(PRH)for the Fuzhou municipal government to implement the development plan for a metropolitan circle or a modern international city for the purposes of attracting talent young people to come into Fuzhou for working and meeting their requirements for settlement as new immigrants.In this pro-ject,some individual design ideas and design practices were referred to,but some design improvements were also considered on the base of group characteristics of modern youth,providing with a corresponding reference to current practices and concepts in architectural design for youth residence solo in open sharing of communities,diversification of public spaces,layout design for monomer building and regeneration and utilization of spatial structure.It specifically analyzed the standards under construction,spatial layout and unit design,suggesting that it should be necessary to further improve design practice of PRH for youth at several aspects of designing,planning,social being and spiritual consciousness.
