Research on the Protection and Renewal Strategy of Xiuwen Road Based on Cultural Gene Extraction and Feature Recognition of the Old Town of Zhangzhou City
With the steady improvement of urbanization and the advancement of stock planning,the protection and continuation of the histor-ic urban area's characteristics have become an important issue in urban renewal.Cultural genes are carriers that reflect the history and primitive style of the historic urban areas,serving as the underlying memory of urban construction and becoming a powerful tool for cultural preservation and continuation in the process of urban renewal.This paper took the Xiuwen Road of the old town of Zhangzhou City as an em-pirical case,using the excavation of cultural genes as the starting point,to analyze the architectural characteristics and cultural connotations of the historic urban area.Under the concept of"revitalizing the historic urban area,retaining nostalgia,and organic renewal",a strategy for updating the historic urban area of"resource integration,gene extraction,map construction,and extension of cultural context"was pro-posed.Provide new ideas to coordinate the development of the material and spiritual aspects of the historic urban area,and solving the prob-lem between urban development and historical and cultural inheritance.
