Research on the Architectural Design Strategies to Overcome Adverse Geological Conditions in a Coastal Project
This paper delves into the design practice and analysis of a coastal project to study how architectural design strategies can over-come the impact of adverse geological conditions on projects. The project is located in a reclaimed land area, characterized by weak and complex soil layers, which lead to severe ground settlement issues. The paper begins by analyzing the impact of ground settlement on pro-jects.Sequently,the research subjects are categorized into three major types:the main body of the building, the connections between the main bodies of the building and the outdoor areas, then the outdoor areas.it details the issues that various parts are prone to damage due to ground settlement. Then use a case study project to discuss corresponding architectural design strategies. The study summarizes the im-portance of architectural design strategies under adverse geological conditions and proposes directions for future research.
