The Regional Expression of Traditional Academy Architecture in Fuzhou——Design of Tsinghua High School Academy
On the basis of studying the historical context and architectural characteristics of traditional academy architecture in Fuzhou,tak-ing Tsinghua Affiliated Middle School Academy as an example,this paper explores how modem academy architecture integrates local cul-ture while also considering modem regional expression in design.The Tsinghua Affiliated Middle School Academy is located north of the Minjiang River and overlooks Gushan Mountain,possessing unique mountain and water resources.Architecture respects climate and site,integrates modern materials and technology through the evolution and transformation of traditional courtyard space and form,and emphasizes the inheritance of regional culture in contemporary times,thus creating a virtuous and intellectual landscape academy.
