Analysis of seismic reinforcement for an existing school building based on maintaining normal functional requirements
In order to provide a reasonable and feasible technical path for maintaining the normal use function of eight types of buildings, including schools, under the seismic fortification intensity of the local area, the"Seismic Technical Guidelines Based on Maintaining the Normal Use Function of Buildings"released in July 2023 proposes a unified design method and technical measures requirements.,This ar-ticle takes an existing school building in Longhai,Zhangzhou that has been in use for nearly thirty years as an example, and adopts the de-sign method of adding viscous dampers for seismic reinforcement.Referring to the requirements of the"Guidelines",structural analysis software is used to compare and calculate multiple additional damping ratios, compare and analyze structural deformation and component damage under seismic and rare earthquake conditions, and calculate and analyze horizontal acceleration of the floor,The verification of en-ergy dissipation and seismic reduction reinforcement technology can effectively improve the performance of existing buildings in maintaining normal seismic performance, reduce the requirements for seismic structural measures of existing buildings, and have reference significance for reinforcement projects of similar existing concrete frame structure school buildings.
