Parametric Analysis of Concrete Filled Steel Tubular Columns Under Freeze-thaw Cycles
This paper employs a validated finite element model to investigate the influence of various parameters, including the diameter-thickness ratio of the steel tube, concrete strength, yield strength of the steel pipe, and number of freeze-thaw cycles,on the mechanical properties of circular steel tube concrete short columns.Through single-factor and multi-factor coupled parameter analyses,we examine the interplay of these factors on the mechanical performance index of the short columns.A formula for calculating the discount factor of load capacity considering multi-factor coupling after freezing and thawing cycles is proposed, and the results of the formula for fitting the dis-count factor of coupling effect are in good agreement with the experimental results, which provides theoretical support for the assessment of the residual load capacity of concrete filled steel tubular columns in the northern cold region.
