The renovation of existing buildings is an important part of urban renewal,and the water supply and drainage system,as an im-portant infrastructure of these buildings,is crucial to enhancing the building function and improving the safety of the fire water supply sys-tem.This paper deeply discusses the common challenges and difficult problems of water supply and drainage design in the renovation of ex-isting buildings.Before embarking on the renovation,the article emphasizes the principle that a comprehensive evaluation must be made and then a renovation plan.Considering the complexity of the reconstruction of existing buildings,this paper extracts the design points and ideas of water supply and drainage,aiming to provide practical reference and reference for similar reconstruction projects.
