Analysis of Singapore's Comprehensive Management of Water Environment
In the early days of its founding,Singapore faced severe challenges including water scarcity,severe water pollution,frequent waterlog-ging,and inadequate water management infrastructure.However,through long-term efforts,it has become an internationally recognized model city for integrated water environment management.Its success is mainly attributed to a comprehensive legal system and organizational structure,a rigor-ous planning system,pragmatic implementation of plans,and a sophisticated integrated flood management system.Singapore has provided a model for integrated water resources management in water-scarce regions,which undoubtedly serves as a valuable reference for China to continue fight-ing the battle to safeguard its water bodies and ultimately build a beautiful home with blue skies,green lands,and clear waters.
