This study targets a three-year-old Sapium discolor plantation,researching the slope aspect and slope position on the growth of young S.discolor plantation..The results showed that the slope aspect had a significant impact on the growth of young S.discolor planta-tiont.The tree height,ground diameter and crown width of the three-year-old S.discolor plantation on the southeast slope were 5.66 m,8.03 cm and 4.69 m respectively,which were 24％,34％,and 44％higher than that on the north slope respectively.The slope position also has a significant impact on the growth of young S.discolor plantation,which was as follows:downslope position＞middle slope position＞upslope position,and the downslope position on the southeast slope was more conducive to the growth of S.discolor.
