Estimation of carbon storage accounting and carbon sequestration value of arbor trees in Jiangle County,Fujian Province
This study focuses on Jiangle County in Fujian Province,based on forest resource survey data,the research employs ground mea-surement methods,volume equations,and biomass expansion factors to estimate the unit area carbon stock and forest emission reductions across different carbon sequestration projects and tree species.Furthermore,it evaluates the forest carbon sequestration value based on var-ious carbon prices,such as carbon trading market prices,afforestation cost method,carbon compensation prices,and ecosystem service val-ue assessments.The results indicated there was no significant difference in unit area carbon storage between Cunninghamia lanceolata and Pinus massoniana under rehabilitation and thinning projects.Both rehabilitation and thinning projects significantly enhance forest carbon sequestration capacity.This study provides a scientific basis for regional carbon management and carbon sequestration value assessment,offering policy makers valuable insights to promote sustainable forest resource management and mitigate climate change.
