Research progress on liquid-liquid phase separation of plant virus proteins
Biological macromolecules can be assembled into membrane-free organelles by liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS)to ensure the orderly occurrence of various life activities in space and time.LLPS of plant virus proteins plays an important role in the replication and long-distance transport of plant viruses. In this paper, the types of polyvalent interactions of macromolecules driving LLPS and the effect of LLPS on promoting replication and infection of plant viruses and interfering with host defense were reviewed, providing references for further research on how viruses enhance their own replication ability and interfere with host immune function.
