Seeds are the "chip" of agriculture, and the crop germplasm resources were the national strategic resources. In order to find out the current situation of crop germplasm resources in Fujian Province, prevent the loss of resources and protect the local varieties which were near extinction, Fujian Province has carried out the third national mass survey and collection of crop germplasm resources. Through this "action", a total of 6235 germplasm resources were collected, including more than 1,000 new germplasm resources and 33 crop germplasm resources introduced from Taiwan. Through the identification and evaluation, 252 germplasm resources with excellent traits were screened out, and more than 30 germplasm resources were used as the parents for resource innovation, which provided a basis for the future protection and utilization of germplasm resources in Fujian Province.
