A Study on Advantages,Disadvantages,and Strategies of Operation of Folk Dragon and Lion Societies in Foshan City
This paper employs literature review,questionnaire survey,interview,and open participatory observation methods to investigate the operation of folk dragon and lion associations in Foshan City,analyzes their advantages and disadvantages,their operation has three advantages such as diverse guarantee meth-ods,wide and diverse financing channels,and reasonable recruitment channels,while it also has 5 disad-vantages such as incomplete publicity methods and inadequate publicity teams;poor brand awareness and unsatisfactory association driving;bias in incentive standards and ineffective incentive regulation;incon-sistent driving direction and multiple polarization;inappropriate forms of competition and unclear orienta-tion.Improvement strategies for their operation are proposed:add iconic buildings in publicity,and as-sign reporting personnel and responsibilities;establish brand image and promote the development of relat-ed industries;undertake paid commercial performances and win rewards from sponsorship member;break free from survival difficulties while inheriting dragon and lion dance skills;standardize the pricing bench-mark for commercial performance markets.
