The Structure and Measurement of Sports Parenting Values
Parents'views on and attitudes towards children's participation in sports can greatly influence their physical behaviors.To understand parents'views on children sports,methods such as open-ended questionnaires,closed-ended questionnaires,and expert interviews were employed to collect current standards and value elements for parents'evaluation and selection of sports as a parenting tool.Then based on these elements,the questionnaire items on current sports parenting values were developed through descriptive statistical analysis,item analysis,exploratory factor analysis,and confirmatory factor analysis.The results showed that the values of sports parenting are a first-order four factor model,which has good reliability and validity.The model fits well and can be used as an effective measurement tool for studying the values of sports parenting.
