Experimental Study on Flotation of a Fluorite Ore with Phenylpropenyl Hydroxamic Acid Collector
In order to solve the problems of difficult separation and low flotation recovery of fluorite ore,the flotation properties and mechanism of phenylacryl hydroxamic acid(PHA)as a fluorite collector were studied, and its flotation performance was investigated by single mineral and actual mixed ore experiments. The results showed that when pH was 8,the dosage of PHA was 15 mg/L and the dosage of MIBC was 20 mg/L,the recoveries of fluorite, dolomite and calcite were 91%,24.2%and 41%,respectively.The CaF2 grade of fluorite concentrate was 97.63%and the recovery was 88.58%by using the closed-circuit process of"five stages of cleaning and two stages of scavening".The adsorption mechanism of PHA with fluorite, dolomite and calcite was analyzed by zeta potential and FTIR test,PHA could selectively adsorb by chemisorption.
