Research on Flotation Separation of Hematite and Quartz Using Anionic Collector and DTAC
This research uses hematite and quartz as the subjects, investigates the impact of the combined use of anionic collectors and dodecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(DTAC)on the flotation separation of hematite and quartz. The anionic collectors include sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS),sodium oleate(NaOL),and sodium lauryl sulfate(SLS).The results show that in comparison to using a single collector(DTAC),when we use SDS or SLS with DTAC,the concentrate Fe grade and Fe recovery significantly increase. However, these two combination collectors exhibit a large dosage. When SDBS is combined with DTAC,under the same flotation conditions as DTAC(collector dosage of 20 mg/L,pH of 7,starch dosage of 20 mg/L,SDBS and DTAC mass ratio of 1∶2),the concentrate Fe grade is similar, but the concentrate Fe recovery increases from 81.44%to 85.96%.This study provides valuable insights for the reverse flotation of hematite.
