Process Mineralogy Research on a Magnesite Ore in Haicheng,Liaoning Province
Aiming at a stockpile of low-grade magnesite in Haicheng,Liaoning Province, which is characterized by complex and difficult ore properties,a systematic process mineralogical study was carried out in order to provide guidance for its subsequent beneficiation and the development of pharmaceuticals.X-ray diffractometer(XRD),X-ray fluorescence spectrometer(XRF),scanning electron microscope and automatic mineral analysis system(AMICS)and other analytical means were used to carry out systematic research on the material composition of the ore,the particle size distribution, dissociation degree, contiguous and embedded relationship. The results show that the main useful component in the ore is MgO with a content of 44.08%,the vein minerals are hornblende, quartz, dolomite and magnesia-aluminum garnet.Magnesite monomer dissociation level in 90%-100%accounts for 91.05%,mainly fine-grained embedded, mainly with hornblende contiguous,three-phase parcel ratio is 41.89%,in the ore monomer cross-sections are the bars, bands,or irregular, some of them are microfine grains wrapped in quartz. The results of this study are of guiding significance for the sorting and deep processing of this type of low-grade magnesite.
