Experimental Study on Flotation of Fluorite from Fine Particle Iron Tailings
A small amount of fluorite is contained in the fine mud of a certain iron tailings.Based on process mineralogy analysis, this paper proposes a fluorite magnetic separation combined flotation process, which effectively recovers low-grade fluorite from fine-grained iron tailings. The results show that the iron tailings contain-0.038 mm proportion of 76.97%,can be removed 42.89%of magnetic gangue minerals through magnetic separation with magnetic field of 636.8 kA/m,increasing the CaF2 grade from 13.91%to 21.04%.Using sodium carbonate as adjusting agent, acidified water glass as inhibitor, and modified oleic acid as collector, fluorite concentrate product with a yield of 7.81%,CaF2 grade of 90.72%,and CaF2 recovery of 50.94%is finally obtained.
