Effects of different combinations of antibiotic alternatives on growth performance and diarrhea rate in weaned piglets
The experiment analyzed the effects of two different antibiotic substitution combinations on the growth performance and di-arrhea rate of weaned piglets by adding two different antibiotic substitution combinations to the diet of weaned piglets. The experiment selected 90 ternary hybrid(Duroc×landrace×Yorkshire)healthy weaned piglets with similar average body weight, using a single-factor experimental design, the experimental animals were randomly divided into 3 treatment groups with 3 replicates in each group, and each replicate was 10 piglets. The diet treatment included corn-soybean meal basic diet(control group I),experimental group Ⅱ and experimental group Ⅲ.The experimental period was 35 days. The results showed that the average final weight, average daily gain and feed-to-weight ratio of experimental groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ were significantly higher than those of control group I(P<0.05),and the average daily gain increased by 13.51%and 15.74%,respectively,while the growth performance of weaned piglets in experimental groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ was not significant(P>0.05);in terms of diarrhea rates, the two experimental groups of experimental groups Ⅱ and experimental group Ⅲ were significantly lower than those of control group I,and the difference was significant(P<0.05);the difference in diarrhea rates between experimental groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ was not significant(P>0.05).It can be seen that the combination of plant essential oils,medium-short chain fatty acids and organic acids and antimicrobial peptides,medium-short chain fatty acids and organic acids can improve the growth performance of piglets and reduce the diarrhea rate of weaned piglets.
