Analysis of the impact and effectiveness of enhancing biosafety measures on the prevention and control of major diseases and production performance in pig farms
In order to analyze the impact of improving biosafety measures on the prevention and control of major diseases and produc-tion performance in pig farms,a biosafety prevention and control measure was carried out in a pig farm in Ninghua county. Before and after the improvement, serum and disease material samples were randomly collected for antibody and pathogen nucleic acid testing,as well as production performance recording. The results showed that after the improvement of biosafety measures in pig farms, the quali-fied rate of immune antibodies for major diseases such as swine fever, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, and foot-and-mouth disease increased by 4.0%to 10.8%(P<0.05),the number of pathogenic species decreased by 2,and the positive rate of pathogenic nucleic acid decreased by 16.8%~30.4%(P<0.05),with no cases of co-infection;The breeding and conception rate of sows increased by 6.8%,the annual parity increased by 0.25,the average number of healthy piglets per sow parity increased by 2.91,the average weaning litter weight increased by 9.8 kg,and the incidence rate and mortality of piglets decreased by 8.2%and 4.1%re-spectively.It can be seen that improving biosafety measures in pig farms has a significant effect on the prevention and control of major diseases, while also improving the production performance of pig herds.
