Investigation on Cryptosporidium infection in some large-scale livestock and poultry farms in Fujian province
In order to understand the infection status of Cryptosporidium in large-scale livestock and poultry farms in Fujian province,100 fecal samples from 10 large-scale livestock and poultry farms(2 each from cattle farms,pig farms,goat farms,chicken farms,and duck farms)were detected by fluorescence quantitative PCR using Cryptosporidium universal primers.The average detection rates of Cryptosporidium in cattle farms,pig farms,sheep farms,chicken farms and duck farms are 60.0%,45.0%,42.1%,42.9%,and 15.0%,respectively.The results can provide reference for the prevention and control of Cryptosporidium in large-scale livestock and poultry farms in Fujian province,as well as ensuring public health safety.
